In August 2009, a clutch of outdoor professionals and enthusiasts embarked on what was to become a ride of a lifetime when then enrolled for the Wilderness First Responder, an 80-hour intensive course of handling medical emergencies in the wild. Organized by Wildcraft in association with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Wyoming, USA this course equips you with a system and the skills you can rely upon when they you need to respond to a medical situation when conventional care may not be available.
We decided to capture this experience on camera, just to let the world know how much of a difference it can make in the life of an outdoor enthusiast. Now to give you a taste of what’s to come, how would you handle a situation where you’re facing multiple fractures, shock and punctured lungs among a host of life-threatening conditions facing a group of people whose hot air balloon has just crashed?

Cool video! Thank you for sharing it.
