The range is priced between Rs 745 and Rs 2,995 and is available across exclusive Wildcraft stores as well as modern trade shop-in-shops. The creative inspiration of this outdoor range comes from MTV’s Streetmuse concept of fashion products. Each product has at least one unique functional element, thus making the range an exciting mix of style and functionality. Viacom18 Senior VP consumer products and communications Sandeep Dahiya who is responsible for the MTV brand said, “We are excited to partner with Wildcraft to enter into yet another important category in the youth space. What makes this range unique is the mix of innovative product features with international creative & design elements.”

Now we don’t know if you’re a Tamil movie buff, but here’s a movie you must not miss! Presenting AVM Productions’ latest potboiler ‘Vettaikaaran’ (The Hunter). Complete with thrills, chills, stunts, action sequences and all the razzmatazz associated with a small-town boy who comes to the big bad city to purge it of all its evils. Yes, there are baddies that get the pulp thrashed out of them and beauties who are wooed with the song and dance that is pure, unadulterated Kollywood.

So now you ask, “What does all of this have to do with Wildcraft, which purports to be India’s best loved outdoor and adventure gear brand?” You may even scratch your head, in bemusement that we appear to be excited about this, though the only thing outdoorsy about this movie is the fact that they have an outdoor location in Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh!

We’ll tell you why! It is because the movie stars a Wildcraft daypack! We kid you not, Vijay, the superstar sports the daypack backpack; good for a day-trek, or for carrying around your stuff around the city for the day!

Clearly, our daypack is headed for superstardom!

Wildcraft’s Dinesh KS pens his thoughts in today’s DNA on outdoor adventures.

Just get out

Are you out of your mind? You are in no shape to clamber over hills!” As a first time trek enthusiast, I’m sure you’ve heard this line before. Somehow most people think you have to be a cross between a body builder and a marathon runner to be an outdoor lover. Or you have to be a mountain goat, have the temperament of a sherpa to lug stuff all over the landscape, and generally be skilled with outdoor survival.

But nothing could be further from the truth. Sure, the first time you climb a mountain your body will revolt. Your lungs will burn, your muscles will put you through punishment far worse than you might have experienced. And yes, you will have trouble pitching the tent and getting dinner going. But then there will always be something intangible that will drive you ahead. Your belief in yourself.
